Traditional Homemade Flan 😋🍰
A classic, creamy, and delicious dessert, perfect for any occasion. 😍
📝 Ingredients:
✅ For the caramel:
½ cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
✅ For the flan:
4 eggs
1 can of condensed milk (approx. 397 g)
1 can of evaporated milk (or the same amount of regular milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
🥄 Preparation:
1️⃣ Prepare the caramel:
In a pan over medium heat, heat the sugar with the water without stirring too much.
When it melts and turns golden, pour it into the bottom of the mold, covering it well.
2️⃣ Prepare the flan mixture:
In a bowl, beat the eggs until well blended.
Add the condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Pour this mixture over the caramel in the mold.
3️⃣ Bake in a double boiler:
Place the mold inside a larger tray with hot water.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
4️⃣ Cool and unmold:
Let cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before unmolding.
To easily unmold, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
