Floral Ring Box Cake – Recipe

🎂 Cake Base (Vanilla or Rose-Flavored Sponge)

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

2 cups granulated sugar

4 eggs (room temperature)

1 tbsp rose water or vanilla extract

1 cup milk (room temperature)

Optional: Pink or pastel coloring

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line three round cake pans.

2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla/rose water.

4. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the batter.

5. Divide into 3 pans. Bake 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool completely before decorating.

🧁 Buttercream Frosting (Light Pink or Ivory)

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

3 ½ cups powdered sugar

2–3 tbsp heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pink or blush food coloring (optional)

Instructions:

1. Beat butter until creamy. Slowly add sugar, then vanilla and cream.

2. Whip until fluffy. Add color if desired.

💍 Decor & Assembly

Stack the three cake layers with buttercream in between.

Carve the top layer slightly to form a jewelry box lid shape.

Cover the entire cake with a thin crumb coat of buttercream.

Chill, then apply a smooth outer layer.

Use fondant or modeling chocolate to create:

A realistic ring (gold/silver band + jewel)

A decorative box lid partially open

Edible flowers like peonies or roses (handmade or store-bought)

Add edible shimmer, pearl dust, or gold leaf for luxury effect.
