Chocolate Cookie Cake Recipe (Big, Chewy, and Rich!)
πΈ Ingredients:
For the cookie cake:
β’ 170g (ΒΎ cup) unsalted butter, softened
β’ 150g (ΒΎ cup) brown sugar
β’ 50g (ΒΌ cup) granulated sugar
β’ 1 large egg π₯
β’ 2 tsp vanilla extract
β’ 190g (1Β½ cups) all-purpose flour πΎ
β’ Β½ tsp baking soda
β’ Β½ tsp salt π§
β’ 200g (1 cup) chocolate chips or chunks π«
Optional toppings:
β’ Chocolate ganache π«
β’ Buttercream frosting π§
β’ Extra chocolate chips, mini cookies, or sprinkles π
πΈ Instructions:
1 Preheat oven to 175Β°C (350Β°F). Grease a 23 cm (9-inch) round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
2 In a bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2β3 minutes).
3 Add the egg and vanilla, and mix until smooth.
4 In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
5 Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
6 Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks.
7 Spread the dough evenly into your prepared cake pan (press it down gently).
8 Bake for 20β25 minutes, or until golden on top and slightly soft in the center (don’t overbake β we want it gooey!).
9 Cool in the pan for 15β20 minutes before removing.
