Bar One Cake – A Choco-Caramel Dream
If you’re the kind of person who eats the Bar One first,�this cake is your ultimate fantasy. 😍�It’s rich. It’s gooey. It’s loaded with melted Bar One bars.�And yes… it melts in your mouth. ✨🍫
🔸 Ingredients
🧁 For the Cake:
• 200 g all-purpose flour
• 200 g sugar
• 3 tbsp cocoa powder
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 large eggs 🥚
• 250 ml (1 cup) milk 🥛
• 125 ml (½ cup) vegetable oil
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 250 ml (1 cup) hot water or hot brewed coffee ☕
🍫 For the Bar One Ganache Filling:
• 4–5 Bar One chocolate bars (chopped)
• 200 ml fresh cream
🍫 For the Bar One Icing/Topping:
• 3–4 more Bar One bars (chopped)
• 100 ml cream
• Optional: dark chocolate shavings, caramel sauce drizzle ✨
🔸 Instructions
✅ Cake:
1 Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line two 20 cm cake pans.
2 In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3 Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
4 Gradually add the hot water or coffee and mix well.
5 Divide batter between pans and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
6 Cool completely before filling or decorating.
✅ Bar One Ganache (Filling or Drizzle):
1 Heat cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer (don’t boil).
2 Add chopped Bar One pieces and stir until melted and smooth.
3 Let cool slightly until it thickens to spreadable consistency.
✅ Assembly:
1 Place one cake layer down. Spread some Bar One ganache in the center.
2 Add second cake layer.
3 Pour remaining ganache over the top or use it as a drip around the edges.
4 Decorate with extra Bar One pieces, chocolate curls, or a caramel drizzle.
